Mr. Hoyt has worked with farms, packing houses, produce operations, green- houses and food processing companies throughout the San Joaquin Valley, Imperial Valley, and the central coast of California, in the potato region of Idaho as well as nationally in several other areas of the United States and internationally in the northern area of Mexico. These firms have had between $5MM to hundreds of millions in sales and $10MM to well over $100MM in assets. Mr. Hoyt works in the area of overall management issues, debt management and restructure, management of marketing and sales, financial viability, strategic planning, accounting and lender relationships. His involvement in many of these engagements involved CEO or CFO type functions. He is highly regarded for his substantial experience with financial workouts, turnarounds, and “special asset” banking relationships. He has accomplished numerous successful turnarounds and restructures.

Mr. Hoyt has worked with most major commodities such as cotton, grain, sugar beets, potatoes, tomatoes, almonds, grapes, stone fruit, oranges, leaf vegetables, asparagus, greenhouse tomatoes and raspberries. Mr. Hoyt’s work has been for growers, packinghouses and food processors, as well as credit institutions such as Rabobank, CoBank, Farm Credit Service, Anderson Clayton Finance Company and Bank of America (OREO Department).

Mr. Hoyt has 30 years of experience dealing with agricultural business problems and solutions and to date has worked with most of the major agricultural banks and insurance company lenders in California. He holds the Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Bachelor of Science (BS) degrees from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.

Mr. Hoyt is an accredited member of both the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers and the American Society of Agricultural Consultants holding the Accredited Agricultural Consultant (AAC) and the Certified Agricultural Consultant (CAC) designations respectively.

Mr. Hoyt is a member of the Fresno County Farm Bureau and is a past president and member of the Board of Directors of the Ag Lender's Society of California and was a founding instructor and organizer of the Ag Lending Institute.



Management Support Personnel 

At various times the Charles Hoyt Company has both staff members that serve as colleague consultants and support staff. In addition, other personnel are hired based on their abilities and qualifications that a specific engagement demands. The firm also has a close relationship with independent outside professionals whose specialties will enhance the ability of Charles Hoyt Company to meet the requirements of a specific engagement. These include attorneys with specialties in real estate, water, labor, general business and bankruptcies, Certified Public accountants with specialties in audits, tax and financial reporting, real estate appraisers and brokers and equipment auctioneers.
